Paving the way for a new energy future
Terrensis is the first exploration and production company to have obtained, with its subsidiary TBH2 Aquitaine, a natural hydrogen exploration permit in France, on November 23, 2023.
This first permit was named“Sauve Terre H²” in reference to the commune of Sauveterre-de-Béarn and the two main substances sought(Hydrogenand Helium).
This historic first is an important event for the country in terms of both energy sovereignty and energy transition.
Our pioneering spirit has been recognized by the Deeptech and French Tech Seed labels from Bpifrance. We are also actively working to advance research into natural hydrogen. As such, we have signed a collaboration contract with the CNRS and are a member of the AVENIA cluster, the competitiveness cluster for underground industries, and Earth2.
