Terrensis has raised €1.5 million from the investment company IDROGENIA, a subsidiary of the family holding company Groupe Mentor (Michaux family).
The funds raised will enable us to begin the research work needed to eventually discover deposits of natural hydrogen: a clean, potentially renewable and economically viable energy source.
This partnership is based on a shared ambition and vision between the two players. IDROGENIA and Terrensis are convinced that natural hydrogen represents a clean and affordable natural resource, turning hydrogen from an energy carrier into a primary energy source.
“This fund-raising marks an important milestone for Terrensis, just a few weeks after obtaining the first Exclusive Research Permit for natural hydrogen in France. I am delighted with this collaboration with IDROGENIA, a subsidiary of the Mentor Group, which goes beyond a simple financial partnership, since we share the same desire to develop this new source of energy. I’d like to thank the Mentor Group for quickly identifying Terrensis as a pioneering player with an ambitious and daring project”, explains Vincent Bordmann, President of Terrensis.
“Our investment in Terrensis is a great moment for IDROGENIA. We are becoming a shareholder in a truly pioneering company: not only in France, but worldwide, where there are barely 40 natural hydrogen exploration and production companies. Our investment in Terrensis also makes sense at a time when energy transition and sovereignty are key issues in our country. “, adds Christophe Hecker, General Manager of IDROGENIA.
